My Approach
I am both a technical and intuitive bodyworker, and inquire not just about your body, but your health as a whole. It’s important to integrate a holistic perspective and maintain intentionality throughout the session. I value a judgment-free zone without holding expectations, and support being in the present moment with you. I encourage an open dialogue with you and your body so that we are able to explore different possibilities of healing. I hope to inspire you to take charge of your life and grow freely in your journey.

Modalities
Acupressure
A modality that stimulates the same points used in acupuncture with finger pressure, rather than inserting fine needles. Acupressure is effective in the relief of stress-related ailments, and aims to bring balance to the body. It is applied over loose fitting and comfortable clothing.
Deep Tissue
A form of client-directed, area-specific massage, rather than just relaxation massage. Little or no oils are used, promoting access to the deeper muscle layers on the body. Some clients describe this modality as providing the “hurts so good” feeling.
Cupping
A method in which a rounded glass/silicone or plastic cup is placed upside down over an area of the body (usually on the back, when a client is faced down on the table) creating suction that holds the cup to the skin. Cupping increases the flow of blood and can release muscle tension and tightness in the body.
Myofascial Release
An effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure and stretches into the myofascial connective tissue restrictions to bring pain relief and restore range of motion. This technique pairs well with deep tissue massage.
Neuromuscular Therapy
A specialized form of manual medicine in which pressure and friction are used to release areas of strain in a muscle. Strain areas are called tender or trigger points, and they tend to be the cause of ongoing muscular pain symptoms.
Swedish Massage
A modality designed to relax the entire body by rubbing the muscles in long, gliding, and smooth strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart. It involves soft, long, kneading strokes, as well as light, rhythmic, tapping strokes, on the topmost layers of muscles. It can both be relaxing and energizing and improve oxygen flow, and is generally used with oils or lotion.
Therapeutic Stretching
Stretching helps address muscle stiffness and encourage mobility in your joints.
Trigger Point Therapy
A neuromuscular technique that aims to release or soften a muscle knot (sore or painful spots on the body) by applying pressure with fingers, knuckles, or elbow.
